Dr. Andy Kitzmiller, DBH, LPC/MHSP
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Andy Kitzmiller is the founder and CEO of Center For Resilience (CFR), bringing over 20 years of experience in behavioral health and clinical leadership. A Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Service Provider and approved Supervisor in both Tennessee and Virginia, he has dedicated his career to helping individuals and families heal from trauma, navigate complex behavioral health needs, and build lives of stability and hope. His expertise includes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and the treatment of addictions and problematic sexual behaviors, with a special focus on supporting youth and families involved in child welfare and juvenile justice systems.
At CFR, Dr. Kitzmiller combines his clinical skill with a passion for innovation and systems change. He is deeply committed to making evidence-based care accessible across communities, empowering both clients and professionals through training, consultation, and compassionate service. Guided by the belief that resilience is built through connection, growth, and opportunity, he leads CFR with a vision of creating lasting impact for individuals, families, and organizations.
